Theresa Schwabenbauer is the Chief Financial Officer at Protea Properties, where she leads the company’s financial operations and accounting initiatives across its commercial real estate portfolio. With more than 15 years of experience in real estate accounting, Theresa is passionate about creating efficient processes, improving systems, and building collaborative, high-performing accounting teams.
Prior to joining Protea Properties, she served as Director of Accounting at MG Properties for nine years and as Controller at LEGOLAND California Resort for eight years. She also worked as a consultant implementing accounting systems, helping organizations streamline operations and improve financial reporting. Theresa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in California. She is known for her thoughtful, people-focused leadership style and practical approach to financial management.
