Gaf has built a career around delivering complex projects to support vibrant communities. In 1987, Gaf founded Gafcon which grew to become one of Southern California’s most respected construction consulting firms. With Gaf’s leadership, Gafcon delivered high-profile public works projects including Great Park in Irvine, CA; Del Mar Fairgrounds Improvements in Del Mar, CA; West Harbor in San Pedro, CA; and the China Basin Landing Waterfront Project in San Francisco, CA.

In 2024, Gaf sold the operating assets of Gafcon to GSI, Global Infrastructure Solutions, Inc., a global consulting firm with over 11,000 employees in 100 countries. Gaf now focuses his attention on bringing prominent future development projects to life, as well as his philanthropic endeavors.

Gaf serves on the board of Alta Sea, a public-private ocean institute dedicated to accelerating and advancing the blue economy and inspiring the next generation.
